My Contributions
"Let Them Eat Fist" was made for The Game Assembly's NGC JAM 2022 over a period of 2 and a half days. Winner of two out of six categories; "Best Narrative" and "Best Sound".
The game sets the player in the shoes of a princess of their choice, fending off thirsty would-be suitors with their bare hands.

Background
This was my first game jam and I was very excited and a bit anxious as I expected a lot of game jam horror stories to reincarnate in the form of an ungodly amount of crunch. Thankfully it didn't happen, on the second day we did spend a bunch of extra hours into the night but I had fun so I didn't mind.

As it was my first game jam I took on tasks like sound design and the creating of the main menu theme along with minor programming tasks that wouldn't bottleneck anyone. Almost every playable character or enemy in the game was voiced by their respective selves in a fun persona. I was doing the recording and edited all sound effects to sound old and crunchy.

After we finished our game we setup a gaming station in the school and let all students and teachers enjoy our game. It was really heartwarming to see people genuinely having fun with something you made. It reminded me why I wanted to be a game developer and will be a source motivation for years to come.
